This page covers every form on violationscout.com: the request on a building page and on /for-owners, the pilot and preview forms for firms, correction requests, and buying a building report.

What a form stores. When you send a form, we store what you typed and ticked (your email or phone, and what you wrote), the page you sent it from, the building's address and BBL when you sent it from a building page, the time, and the country your connection came from. We store no IP address, and sending a form sets no cookie. We keep the request in our own storage at Cloudflare, and a third-party form service sends us an email notice of it with what you typed.

The browser check. Forms run Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a browser sent the form. Cloudflare reads signals from your browser to do this. We keep only the check's result.

Counting visits. We count page visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, and which buttons are tapped, without cookies and never with anything you typed. On a building page, this browser remembers which answer you chose, on your device only.

Buying a building report. Stripe takes the payment on its own form on our page, and we never see your card. We send Stripe the building you chose. From Stripe we keep the order in our own storage at Cloudflare: your email, the building, the amount and the time. A third-party form service sends us an email notice of it. Your email is printed on your report. We send the report to you by email from hello@violationscout.com, and you can download it for 30 days from the page you return to after paying. Before it goes out, Anthropic's Claude reads the report and the order, your email included, as one of our checks.

Who sees it. We read every request ourselves. We share your details with a firm only if you ask us to. Before we pass anything on, we tell you which firm and wait for your yes. We do not sell your details, and we do not add them to a marketing list.

How long we keep it. We keep a request or an order until you ask us to delete it.
